Orihon (3D Printed Accordion Book), 2013
3D Printed Plastic
This project combines an old technology (books) with a new technology (3D printing), and the result is a beautiful and intriguing work of art that makes us think about the melding of the old and new, analog and digital. The subject matter for this book is derived from 3D scans made of sculptures and reliefs, found at The Art Institute of Chicago and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Signed and numbered.
